  • What does health mean to you?

In this era where people live up to 100 years, I believe health is the most important foundation for life—so that we can walk on our own, enjoy delicious food, travel to places we love, and do what we enjoy. When I think about how many more years I will use my body, I realize that I need to take care of it and maintain it properly.

  • What kinds of fruits and vegetables do you like, and why?

I like red-colored foods such as dragon fruit and beetroot, which have strong antioxidant properties. I often spend time outdoors—doing surfing or swimming—so I’m frequently exposed to the sun. That’s why I make a conscious effort to consume antioxidant-rich foods to help reduce skin inflammation from within.

  • You’ve maintained a long career while sharing positive energy and inspiration. What’s your secret?

I try to focus on doing what I love and what gives me a sense of fulfillment. Spending time in nature, enjoying sunlight, SUP yoga, and releasing stress helps me recharge my energy. That’s how I maintain a positive mindset and stay energized.

  • What do you do to stay healthy?

I stay active through activities like SUP yoga, surfing, and running. I also make an effort to include seasonal fruits and vegetables in my diet.

  • How often do you eat fruits and vegetables? Has it helped your health?

I eat fruits and vegetables every day. In summer, I enjoy them fresh in salads, and in colder seasons, I make vegetable-rich soups. I try to eat them as often and as much as possible. When I don’t eat enough vegetables, I feel that my skin condition worsens and my digestion becomes less smooth.

  • What fruits and vegetables would you recommend for both adults and children?

I recommend seasonal vegetables, especially leafy greens like komatsuna, spinach, and carrots. When making juice, combining them with fruits like apples, kiwi, or oranges makes them easier to enjoy—even for those who don’t like vegetables. Since juicing allows you to take in plenty of enzymes, I think it’s especially beneficial in the morning or after exercise.

  • What fruits do you eat often? And which do you use for juice?

I often eat watermelon, pineapple, and fruits I grow myself, such as bananas, passion fruit, and dragon fruit. For juice, I love watermelon juice in the summer, and I also frequently use apples and oranges.

  • You are known for your work in coral conservation. What inspired you?

When I was 14, I went diving in Okinawa for the first time. I witnessed the coral reefs in the ocean I loved turning white and dying. That experience made me realize that I needed to protect them. I want to continue this work so that future generations, even 100 years from now, can still experience this ocean and its coral reefs.

  • How do you feel about becoming a global ambassador for Hurom?

I’ve been using Hurom products for a long time, so I’m truly happy. As a global ambassador, I want to share my lifestyle—how Hurom naturally fits into my daily life—with more people.

  • What can we expect from your collaboration with Hurom?

To live as my true self, staying healthy is always essential. I want to share the importance of a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, as well as an active lifestyle—and how Hurom’s slow juicer supports both. Together with Hurom, I hope to introduce ways for people of all generations to enjoy a healthy lifestyle. I also believe that spending time in nature is important for both physical and mental well-being, and I would love to continue environmental activities, such as coral conservation, together with Hurom.
