  • What does ‘Health’ mean to ‘LUCAS PODOLSKI?

Because I became a professional athlete at an early age, I also had to deal with topic of health and nutrition early on. For me, health means well-being. Both physically and mentally.

  • Any favorite fruits or vegetable?

I don’t have any favorites, they should definitely be fresh and rich in vitamins and antioxidants. It’s the variety that counts.

  • You are known for maintaining a healthy playing career for a long time. Do you have any special tips?

Keep going! Giving up isn’t an option and not a day without training. Plus a family that supports you. I come from a family of athletes and we always had good and varied food but also typical home cooking.

  • What other health efforts do you undertake beside diet?

As a professional soccer player, I train every day. Even in my free time. I try to find the balance between a balanced nutrition, training and of course enough time for family, friends and fun.

  • How often do you eat fruits and vegetables? Was it helpful for your health?

I generally don’t eat breakfast, but have been making a juice from fresh fruit and vegetables every morning for years using the machine. For me it is important to have a healthy attitude towards eating. Of course fruit and vegetables are important, but it can also be something different.

  • Recommeded fruits and vegetables for kids?

As a father of three children, nutrition is of course important. It should be balanced and contain fruits and vegetables but also allow exceptions to be made . As parents, it’s our job to teach them a positive attitude towards food. If the children don’t like the consistency, you can offer it form of juices.

  • What kind of fruit do you eat often? And is there a style that you often eat when you make it with juice?

Mostly I like to eat apples. I like to combine fruit with vegetables in my juices, for example apple, beetroot and carrot.

  • You have completed an amazing career in club and national team as a Football player. Your fans in Korea are also curious if you have a special secret to playing for the national team.

First I very appreciate the support of my fans in Korea - thank you very much! I can only repeat myself: Keep going! If you really want something , work on getting better, focus on your goals and don’t listen to what others day. If someone tells you „ you can’t do it,“ use that as motivation and show them that it can work.

  • How do you feel about collaborating with Hurom?

I’m very happy about working with Hurom. With Hurom I have a partner at my side with whom I can show everyone that it isn’t difficult to integrate vegetables and fruits into everyday life, even if, as in my case, it is a juice with breakfast.

  • Highlight to expect from Hurom and LP10’s Collaboration?

By working together, I hope that we can encourage more people to integrate fruits and vegetables into their everyday lives. I’m also happy to be able to show my fans some variations of my favorite juices.
