Why Hurom

What kind of juice are
you drinking?

Even with the same ingredients, the texture and nutritional value vary depending on how they are prepared. In the end, the process defines the result.

Infographic comparing blending vs. squeezing. High-speed blending destroys cell walls (shown in a microscopic view of broken bubbles) causing cloudy color and separation. Hurom's slow squeeze method minimizes nutrient damage, keeping cell structures intact (shown in a microscopic view of preserved plant cells) for natural color and better nutrition.

THE JUICING METHOD CLOSEST TO NATURE

Slow Squeeze Technology

A technology that gently presses ingredients slowly and at low heat, to minimize nutrient loss and preserve the natural flavor, color, and nutritional value of fruit and vegetables

Preserving nature's value

By juicing slowly without metal blades, heat and physical stress are minimized, capturing the full nutrients and flavors from nature.

The world's first slow juicer

In 1993, we developed the world's first vertical slow juicer. Based on the principles of nutrient preservation, honed over 50 years of research, it minimizes heat and oxidation to capture the full natural flavors and nutrients of the ingredients.

A timeline of Hurom's history titled 'SINCE 1974: The world's first slow juicer.' It showcases key milestones: developing core technology in 1980, the world's first electric juice extractor patent in 1993, the first vertical slow juicer in 2005, the Inno Drum in 2018, and winning the King Sejong Award for the All-in-one multi-screw in 2023.

Beyond kitchen appliances
We research natural nutrition

To deepen our understanding of the natural nutrition found within fruits and vegetables, we established our own Food and Nutrition Research Institute. Through our ongoing research into the nutritional content of raw ingredients and juice, and how different extraction techniques affect nutrients, we're seeking new ways to capture the full value of nature.
